毎年、Governors Islandで日本の夏祭りを行なっている Japan Performing Arts (https://japanperformingarts.org)が、2021年のMemorial Dayの週にin-personでのダンス、音楽、着物イベントを行うそうです。
一昨年の夏祭りとはおそらく違った形式になるんだと思いますが、2019年の夏祭りの様子はここにあります。

- Description: JPA is announcing a cultural program on Governors Island, “Dance, Music, & Kimono” on the 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th, and 31st of May 2021. The cultural program has two types of activities. On the 22nd, 29th, and 31st, visitors can enroll and participate in the activities. On the 23rd and 30th, the events are for more for viewing such as cultural demonstrations and lectures. The details of the programs will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and our website. Governors Islandは、ソーシャルディスダンスの制限の元で既に再開しているそうで、以下のウェブサイトで入場チケット（フェリーのチケット）の購入ができるそうです。2021年5月の時点では、週末は、フェリーはLower Manhattan (South Street)とBrooklyn (Brooklyn Bridge Park & Red Hook)から出ているようです。
