NYCのDepartment of Education (DOE)が、2023年 4月27日 (木)から4月29日 (土)にかけて、ニューヨーク市の公立学校で学習するバイリンガル児童とその保護者のためのイベントを行うそうです。最初の2日はオンラインで、土曜日のイベントは、Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum (Pier 86, W 46th St, New York, NY 10036)で対面で行われるそうです。

New York City Public Schools invites you to a 3-day event, Global Family and Community Conference designed to celebrate multilingualism, multiculturalism, and the inherent power and brilliance of our diverse communities. With 2 virtual options and an in-person experience at the Intrepid Museum, the conference will offer workshops on the importance of bilingual education, supports for postsecondary planning, an understanding of educational laws, mental wellness tips, and more. There will also be amazing guest speakers, cultural performances, and opportunities to meet other multilingual and immigrant families across NYC.

Workshops are opened to high school students and adults only.
On Saturday, April 29, 2023, public school aged children under the age of 14 are welcome to enjoy the cultural performances in the morning and explore the museum with an accompanying family adult in the afternoon.The first 100 parents to arrive at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum on April 29, 2023 will receive a voucher to experience one of the virtual museum simulators.
