ニューヨークでの子供向けのお正月イベント (2019年)

2019時点でのニューヨークで子供向けのお正月イベントをまとめてみました。また他に聞いたりしたら、随時Event Pageに追加していきます。

  1. Mitsuwa NJ: Oshogatsu, New Year’s Special Event and New Year Lucky Bag
    • Date: Tuesday, January 1, 2019
    • Location: Mitsuwa Marketplace, 595 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ 07020, USA
    • Description:To celebrate New Year, the Mitsuwa New Jersey Store will host traditional Japanese events such as a Taiko Drumming performance, a Mochi Pounding and a Shishimai Lion Dance.

  2. LaGuardia’s Japan Clubs’ New Year Celebration
    • Date: Wednesday, January 16, 2019
    • Location: LaGuardia Community College (30-10 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101)
    • Description: This event is to introduce Japanese old traditions and customs on shogatsu (Japanese New Year Day) such as もちつき (mochi-pounding), おせち料理 (Japanese traditional cuisine for New Year Day), こままわし(Japaense top spinning game), かるた (Japanese traditional card game), 絵馬づくり (making Japanese votive tablets), 着物 (Japanese traditional clothes), かきぞめ (Japanese calligraphy), and 年賀状 (Japanese new year greeting cards). All events are hands-on and we will have a lot of giveaways (free samples of Japanese toys etc). Sushi will be served. This event is open to both LaGuardia students and LIC local communities, especially those with Japanese heritage and learners of Japanese language and culture. Children are welcome.

  3. BJAFA’s Japanese New Year Festival in Downtown Brooklyn
    • Date: Monday, January 21, 2019
    • Location: Roulette (509 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217)
    • Description: お待たせしました!毎年大好評のブルックリンお正月祭が、Martin Luther King Jr. Dayの1月21日(月・祝)に開催されます。本格お餅つき体験や迫力の和太鼓パフォーマンスはもちろん、去年に引き続き、ド迫力の巨大書き初めパフォーマンスや沖縄三味線、侍パフォーマンスなど、お友達やご家族で楽しめる日本の伝統芸能&アートパフォーマンスが盛り沢山。キッズ&ファミリーアクティビティには、お面作りや、折り紙に加え、将棋やVRブースも登場予定!バイリンガルで進行するイベントですので、日本語がわからなくても全く心配いりません!今年はフードコートもパワーアップ!アルコールドリンクバーもご用意していますので、ぜひお友達やご家族でお越しください。

  4. Japan Society’s New Year’s Celebration: Oshogatsu

    • Description: Celebrate the New Year Japanese-style with our Oshogatsu event filled with the traditional activities of rice pounding, calligraphy, lion dancing and more! After trying your hand at the different crafts and activities, grab a seat and watch a taiko drumming performance, then join the brief post-performance audience practice session. With activities for the whole family, you are sure to ring in the New Year with great joy!

  1. Ariyoshi Restaurant Mochi Pounding & Free Tasting Event 2019
